Many employers require certification for various technical and professional occupations. Some of the most common exams at the Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center at Woonsocket Education Center are expected to be the GED, Servsafe Food Protection Manager, Crossfit® Trainer, emergency nursing, MTELS and AWS certifications, real estate, insurance, and computer skills.
“A barrier to testing is a barrier to higher education and job skills training and employment.” said Shannon Gilkey, R.I. Commissioner of Postsecondary Education. “We are working toward a more highly educated, highly skilled workforce as a driver for economic growth and prosperity in northern Rhode Island.”
Pearson Vue tests are available Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woonsocket Education Center, located at 115 Main Street. The length of the exam is a determinant of when the testing period can be booked.
